Inspired by the prettiest of flowers

Will somebody please teach me how to paint? The colors and shading of the Ranunculus on my desk are ridiculously beautiful. It's like they were created to be a perfect subject for watercolor studies. I took an online watercolor class with Alisa Burke a while back, but haven't exactly been practicing a lot since then. I think it's time to dust of those paint pans!

Ranunculus are my favorite flowers. I am probably a bit biased though, since they were my wedding flowers. Our florist suggested them when I told her that I didn't really love roses, but wanted something colorful (in late fall, in Northern Germany: slim pickings!).
